Amy McDonald

Meet Amy McDonald

You’re more likely to find her on the golf course these days, but before golf became her sport of choice, Amy was a marathon runner, cyclist, CrossFit athlete, and Olympic weightlifter. If that sounds like someone who could crush the longest drive on the 11th hole, we wouldn’t disagree.

Amy came to Cape Girardeau to attend SEMO and ended up meeting her husband, Kyle, and making Cape her home where they raised two daughters. She’s now the Executive Director of the Cape Public Schools Foundation. She loves spending time in the community with friends and family, staying active at the gym, and playing golf.

LemonDrop is important to me because it’s a philanthropic effort that brings people together to raise awareness and support others affected by testicular cancer”. And that’s what it’s all about when you put your money to support Amy’s fundraise for LDLD ‘26!

When she’s not bringing her kindness to support the LDLD, Amy raises funds to support students in our community helping provide resources for health, wellness, education materials, and extracurricular opportunities. It’s her passion to connect people who care about kids with opportunities to make a real difference.

When you donate to Amy’s LemonDrop Long Drive fundraiser, you’re not just cheering her on—you’re helping raise awareness, support those impacted by testicular cancer, and strengthen a community that believes in showing up for one another.
