Colleen Moore

Meet Colleen Moore

In her own words, “I have many old lady hobbies such as knitting and crocheting. I bake foods that I never eat. Audiobooks keep me sane. I like to spend time outside on the golf course – hitting long drives has never been part of that time”. We’re pretty confident that this is the stuff of a future LDLD women’s league legend.

But her brilliance doesn’t end there. She once won an armadillo race with Marshall Dillo. They beat out Quesa-Dillo.

Now if that didn’t convince you to bring your support to her LDLD fundraise, let’s get another direct quote on the line “I am not the oncologist, Dr. Moore. We are not married. And, of the two of us, I am the better looking one.”

But in a moment of seriousness, Colleen shared that “Lemon Drop is important to me because it embodies a sense of community and support. I joined Lemon Drop because I was asked by a friend. When friends ask for help, it’s important that we show up. Lemon Drop shows up when people need help and that worth more than the money raised.”. That’s the love we like to bring to the Lemon Drop.

Besides being the funniest doc in town, Colleen is a top-notch vascular surgeon. This means she operates on all the blood vessels that are outside the head and not the heart. Currently, she owns and operates a free-standing vein center, InVein, focusing on venous disease and varicose veins. “As a female, vascular surgeon, I am one of less than 1000. I do my job to save lives and limbs. I also do it to show my daughter and the young women following me, that there is a place for us in male-dominated professions.”
