Todd Obergoenner
Meet Todd Obergoenner
Meet the legend himself, Mr. Todd Obergoenner. SO what exactly makes him truly legendary and not just “Hey I know that guy from somewhere”?. It’s simple, Todd is the only person in history to win an AJGA Golf Tournament while making a double digit score on a hole during that tournament. The story goes that he made a 10 on the 7th hole in the first round and eventually won by one shot after three rounds. That’s right, we’re dealing with the real deal here.
After nailing it on the golf teams at the both University of Kentucky and Southern Illinois University, where he added to the Legend status as a team member that won the only SEC Championship in Men’s Golf History at Kentucky, Todd went on to solidify golf in his heart of hearts by making it the game that brought him and his wife together.
When he’s not increasing his legendary status in the field of golf, Todd enjoys spending time outdoors and time with his wife and kids! These super kids are involved in all kinds of activities so any time they can make a side trip to go hiking as a family or find a State or National Park to go to, that’s where you’ll find them.
We checked in with Todd on why the LemonDrop event is important to him. “I have seen cancer impact many friends and family in my lifetime and I believe it’s very important to help those that are going through the battle and journey that is cancer treatment. It’s especially important to me that we can raise money for local individuals and family members that need help and support them during a difficult time. The fact that we can help raise money for a cause like LemonDrop while playing the game that brought me and my wife together and our family enjoys so much really makes the whole experience meaningful for us.”
Todd not only sets an amazing example for his family, but through his actions, words and attitude, he leads by example for all of us. Todd is raising awareness for boys, men, and families about Testicular Cancer and early detection. Support him below to show your support. Thank you, Todd!
